Granada is a piece for solo trumpet (in Bb) and symphonic orchestra. It was originally composed by Agustín Lara. This arrangement for orchestra was comissioned by Miroslav Petkov (principal trumpet at Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) and Murcia’s Symphonic Orchestra, to whom it is also dedicated.

Additional information about Granada
Granada’s arrangement for solo trumpet and orchestra was comissioned by Miroslav Petkov, principal trumpet of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Amsterdam) with the occasion of VII Numskull Brass Festival Caudete’s Closing Concert.
This work was originally written in 1932 by Mexican composer Agustín Lara, and has become a classic ever since.
