Description

Portas is a composition for bass trombone and orchestra composed in honor of Daniel Portas, the director of the Santiago Band, trombonist, and pedagogue. The bass trombone version is dedicated to Martin Schippers, bass and tenor trombonist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and it was premiered during the tenth edition of the Numskull Brass Festival Caudete, conducted by Ricardo Mollá alongside the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, with Martin himself as the soloist.
