Description
Portas is a composition for B-flat trumpet and orchestra, created to honor the memory of Daniel Portas, director of the Santiago Band, trombonist, and pedagogue. The trumpet version is dedicated to Esteban Batallán, principal trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and it premiered with the Royal Philharmonic of Galicia at the Galaico Brass Festival in Merza, conducted by Roberto Baltar and Esteban Batallán himself.
